Intake Manifold (4.2L): Installation

Install lower manifold with short bolts and long bolts in proper positions. See Fig 2. Tighten fasteners to specification. See Fig 3. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
Install intake manifold spacer. See Fig 4. Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Install gaskets and upper intake manifold. Tighten upper intake manifold bolts in sequence to specification. See Fig 5. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Fill and bleed the engine cooling system. See COOLING SYSTEM BLEEDING under COOLING SYSTEM .
