Pinpoint Test E: A Single Illumination Source Is Inoperative

- E1 CHECK CIRCUIT 19 (LB/RD) FOR VOLTAGE
- Disconnect: Inoperative Illumination Source.
- Place the headlamp switch in the PARK position and rotate the headlamp switch knob fully counterclockwise without turning on the interior lamps.
- Measure the voltage between the inoperative source connector, harness side and ground as follows:CONNECTOR PINS
Location Connector (Pin) Circuit Video cassette player (VCP) 3077a (10) 19 (LB/RD) Steering wheel switches 218b (5) 19 (LB/RD) - Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
- Yes : GO to E2.
- No : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
- E2 CHECK CIRCUIT 57 (BK) FOR AN OPEN
- Measure the resistance between the inoperative source connector, harness side and ground as follows:CONNECTOR PINS
Location Connector (Pin) Circuit VCP 3077a (11) 57 (BK) Steering wheel switches 218b (6) 57 (BK) - Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
- Yes : INSTALL a new component in question. REFER to VIDEO SYSTEM or SPEED CONTROL . TEST the system for normal operation.
- No : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
- Measure the resistance between the inoperative source connector, harness side and ground as follows:
