Transmission Insulator And Retainer: Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING for E-series, or JACKING & LIFTING - F150 PICKUP .
  2. Remove the two nuts, one bolt, and position the hanger aside.

  3. Position a high lift transmission jack under the transmission.
  4. Raise the transmission until the retainer studs are separated from the transmission support crossmember.

  5. Remove the one bolt and the retainer.
