Removal and Installation

  1. Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING .
  2. Remove the air cleaner and air cleaner outlet tube. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION & FILTERING .
  3. Remove the bolts and the thermostat housing.
    • Position the thermostat housing aside.

  4. Remove the O-ring seal and thermostat.
    • Clean and inspect the sealing surfaces.

  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
