Oil Pump: Installation

  1. Clean and inspect the mating surfaces.
  2. Position the oil pump, and install the bolts loosely. Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown in Fig 1.

  3. Install the crankshaft sprocket. For additional information, refer to TIMING DRIVE COMPONENTS - WINDSOR ENGINE (5.4L)  or TIMING DRIVE COMPONENTS - ROMEO ENGINE (4.6L) .
  4. Install the oil pan. For additional information, refer to OIL PAN .
