Exhaust Manifold - LH: Removal

    All engines 

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. Remove the engine cover. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .

    3. Romeo engine (4.6L) 

  3. Remove the EGR system module tube.
    • Disconnect the upper and lower fittings.
    • Remove the tube.

    Windsor engine (5.4L) 

  4. Disconnect the differential pressure feedback EGR sensor hoses from the EGR valve tube.

  5. Disconnect the upper and lower fittings and remove the EGR valve tube.

    6. All engines 

  6. Remove the nuts.

  7. Remove the nuts and the exhaust manifold.

  8. Remove and discard the exhaust manifold gasket.

  9. Clean and inspect the exhaust manifold. For additional information, refer to ENGINE SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .
