Inspection and Verification

Check the operation of the parking brake system with the vehicle on a hoist and the parking brake control fully released. Check for any damaged cables and install new as necessary. Check the rear brake adjustment or carry out the brake system diagnosis.

Check the parking brake by pressing the parking brake control pedal. The parking brake must be fully set by applying pressure to the pedal before it reaches a mechanical stop. If not as specified, install new parking brake control/cables as necessary.
