Front Brake Caliper - E-150: Disassembly

- Remove the disc brake caliper. For additional information, refer to BRAKE CALIPER .
- Drain brake fluid from the disc brake caliper.
- Secure the disc brake caliper in a vise.
- Remove the caliper pistons.
- Place a wood block between the caliper bridge and the caliper piston.
- Apply low air pressure to the fluid port of the disc brake caliper.
- Force caliper pistons out to the wood block.
- Remove the wood block and the caliper pistons.
- Remove and discard the caliper piston seals and dust boots.
- If the caliper cylinder bores are damaged, install a new front disc brake caliper.
NOTE:
Do not hone the caliper cylinder bores. Caliper pistons are not available for honed calipers.
