P1500 - Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) Intermittent

P1500 - VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR (VSS) INTERMITTENT

Description:  Indicates the VSS input signal was intermittent. This DTC is set when a VSS fault interferes with other OBDII tests, such as the catalyst efficiency monitor, the EVAP monitor or the HO2S monitor.
Possible Causes: 
  • Intermittent VSS connections.
  • Intermittent open in the VSS harness circuit(s).
  • Intermittent short in VSS harness circuit(s).
  • Damaged VSS.
  • Damaged PCM.
Diagnostic Aids:  -
Application  Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory 
Escape GO to DP: Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS)/Transfer Case Speed Sensor (TCSS) STEP 6 GO to DP: Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS)/Transfer Case Speed Sensor (TCSS) STEP 6 GO to DP: Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS)/Transfer Case Speed Sensor (TCSS) STEP 6
