Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor

The Transmission Fluid Temperature (TFT) sensor is located on solenoid body assembly. The PCM monitors voltage across the TFT sensor to determine transmission temperature. Depending on temperature, the PCM controls Electronic Pressure Control (EPC) pressure, shift scheduling and TCC operation. TFT sensor inhibits TCC operation during warm-up and locks TCC if transmission fluid temperature is too high. Malfunction of sensor will cause incorrect line pressure and possible lack of TCC operation.
