Internal or external shift linkage, transmission range sensor (misadjusted/damaged), valve body bolts improperly torqued (gasket damage), SS1 and/or SS2 stuck or damaged, valve body components (solenoid regulator valve, 2-3 shift valve, 3-4 shift valve, D2 valve), air bleeds for SS1 or SS2 circuits missing, damaged band servo or clutches, reverse ring gear and low-reverse one-way clutch.
