Gearshift Lever Position Elements In Use
"OD" (Overdrive)
1st Gear Forward Clutch, (1) Coast Clutch, (2) Overdrive One-Way Clutch & Low/Reverse One-Way Clutch
2nd Gear Intermediate Clutch, (1) Coast Clutch, Forward Clutch & (2) Overdrive One-Way Clutch
3rd Gear Forward Clutch, Intermediate Clutch, (3) Intermediate One-Way Clutch, Direct Clutch & Overdrive One-Way Clutch
3rd Gear (Overdrive Canceled) Coast Clutch, Intermediate Clutch, (3) Intermediate One-Way Clutch, Direct Clutch, Forward Clutch & Overdrive One-Way Clutch
4th Gear Forward Clutch, Intermediate Clutch, (3) Intermediate One-Way Clutch, Overdrive Clutch & Direct Clutch
"2" Coast Clutch, Forward Clutch, Intermediate Clutch, Intermediate Band, Intermediate One-Way Clutch & Overdrive One-Way Clutch
"1" Coast Clutch, Forward Clutch, Low/Reverse Clutch, Overdrive One-Way Clutch & Low/Reverse One-Way Clutch
"R" Coast Clutch, Direct Clutch, Low/Reverse Clutch & Overdrive One-Way Clutch
(1) Coast clutch is applied with Transmission Control Switch (TCS) in ON position.
(2) Overdrive one-way clutch is holding during drive and ineffective with TCS in ON position.
(3) Intermediate one-way clutch is overrunning.
