Extension Housing Seal & Bushing - Slip Yoke: Removal

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. Remove the driveshaft. For additional information, refer to DRIVESHAFT .
  3. Using the special tools, remove the extension housing seal.

    4. CAUTION: Do not damage any machined surfaces. Damage can cause the new seal to leak.

  4. Using the special tool, remove the extension housing bushing.
