Engine Mount: Removal

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
- Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
- Remove the cooling fan stator. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING .
- Remove the A/C compressor. For additional information, refer to HEATING & VENTILATION .
- Remove the power steering pump upper mounting bolt.
- Remove the LH fan stator stand-off.
- Remove the bolts and position the power steering pump aside.
- Remove the RH fan stator stand off. Remove the bolt and position the cable aside.
- Loosen the exhaust pipe retaining nuts.
- Remove the motor mount retaining nuts.
- Remove the upper motor mount studs.
- Loosen the four motor mount bolts for each motor mount.
- Install the special tools.
- Install the lifting attachment and lifting crane.
- Raise the engine.
- Remove the bolts and the motor mounts.
NOTE:
The front bolt will remain in the power steering pump.

CAUTION:
Use care when raising the engine to avoid engine or body damage.
