- Remove the wheel and tire assembly. For additional information, refer to WHEELS & TIRES .
- Tighten the spindle nut to eliminate all end play from the front wheel bearing. Be sure the brake disc can turn.
- Attach the Dial Indicator Gauge with Holding Fixture to the vehicle suspension. The stylus of the indicator should touch the surface of the brake disc approximately 25.4 mm (1.01 in) from the outer edge of the brake disc.
- Adjust the Dial Indicator Gauge with Holding Fixture to mid travel. Zero the scale on the dial indicator. Slowly turn the brake disc one complete turn and note the high and low readings on the dial.
- If the brake disc runout is not within specification, either refinish or install a new brake disc.
- Refinish the brake disc. For additional information, refer to NOISE, VIBRATION & HARSHNESS .
- Install a new front brake disc. For additional information, refer to DISC & DRUM .
- Install a new rear brake disc. For additional information, refer to DISC & DRUM .
- Install the wheel and tire assembly.
