WARNING: All safety belt assemblies including retractors, buckles, front seat belt buckle support assemblies (slide bar), shoulder belt height adjusters (if so equipped) child safety seat tether attachments and attaching hardware should be inspected after any collision. All belt assemblies should be replaced unless a qualified technician finds the assemblies show no damage and operate properly. Belt assemblies not in use during a collision should also be inspected and replaced if either damage or improper operation is noted.

  6. NOTE: Make sure to tighten all nuts and bolts to specification.
NOTE: When installing a new safety belt buckle and lap belt assembly, make sure to install it at the second row right hand position of the vehicle. This is due to the safety belt buckles and tongues being different sizes from the left hand to the right hand side.
NOTE: Make sure the safety belt webbing is not twisted prior to installation.
  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • After installation, make sure the safety belt buckle and lap belt are positioned between the seat backrest and cushion and accessible to the passengers after installation.
  8. Check the active restraint system for correct operation.
