Safety Belt Buckle - Front, 40/20/40 Seat, Driver and Passenger: Removal

All vehicles 

  1. Remove the affected seat. Refer to SEATING .

    Driver safety belt buckle 

  2. Disconnect the safety belt warning switch electrical connector.
    • Remove the pin-type retainer from the safety belt warning switch electrical connector.

    All vehicles 

  3. NOTE: Driver side shown, passenger side similar.
  4. Remove the safety belt buckle.
    1. Remove the safety belt buckle nut.
    2. Remove the safety belt buckle.

  5. Remove the front inboard track-to-seat pan bolt.

  6. Loosen the rear inboard track-to-seat pan bolt to allow the removal of the electrical connector.
  7. Position the electrical connector as shown and pull it through the seat opening.
