Removal and Installation

All vehicles 

  1. Remove the affected seat. Refer to SEATING .
  2. NOTE: Driver side shown, passenger side similar.
    NOTE: The passenger side safety belt buckle is not equipped with a safety belt warning indicator switch wire harness and electrical connector.
  3. Remove the safety belt buckle.
    1. Remove the nut.
    2. Remove the safety belt buckle.

    Driver seat only 

  4. Disconnect the safety belt buckle warning indicator switch electrical connector and separate it from the mounting bracket.

  5. Remove the front inboard track-to-seat pan bolt.

  6. Loosen the rear inboard track-to-seat pan bolt to allow removal of the electrical connector.
  7. Pull the wire harness and electrical connector through the seat.

    All vehicles 

  8. NOTE: Make sure to tighten all nuts and bolts to specification.
  9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  10. Check the active restraint system for correct operation.
