Removal and Installation

SuperCab vehicles
- From the bottom of the seat backrest, push the seat backrest upward, then pull the bottom outward and remove from the vehicle.
Regular cab vehicles
- Position the front seat(s) forward.
Crew Cab vehicles
- Position the rear seats forward.
Regular and Crew Cab vehicles
- Remove the bolt and the child safety seat tether anchor.
SuperCab vehicles
- Remove the bolt and the child safety seat tether anchor.
All vehicles
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- See the removal procedure or Specifications for torque specifications.
- For SuperCab, after seat backrest installation, make sure the child safety seat tether anchor strap is accessible and not trapped between the seat backrest and cab back panel.
- Rework the sheet metal to its original condition and structural integrity.
- Check the active restraint system for correct operation.

WARNING:
It is important that the bolt/anchor be securely tightened to specification. Otherwise, the child's safety seat may not be correctly secured, and the child can be injured in case of a sudden stop or accident.
