Removal and Installation

- Remove the overhead console bezel.
- Release the locking tabs while pulling down.
- Remove the screws and the left and right visors.
- If equipped, disconnect the electrical connector.
- Position the left and right front door opening weatherstripping down from the headliner.
- Remove the left and right windshield side garnish moulding. Refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
- Remove the courtesy lamp(s).
- Remove the courtesy lamp lens, then remove the screws.
- Remove the scuff plate(s).
SuperCab vehicles
- Remove the left and right rear door striker covers at the roof trim panel.
- If equipped, remove the safety belt shoulder height adjuster cover pin-type retainers.
- If equipped, remove the safety belt shoulder height adjusters.
- Position the safety belt shoulder height adjuster cover down.
- Remove the bolt.
- Remove the safety belt shoulder height adjuster.
Crew Cab vehicles
- Remove the rear B-pillar assist handles.
- Remove the four covers (two on each handle).
- Remove the four screws (two on each handle).
- Remove the two B-pillar assist handles.
- Lift up on the cover and remove the front and rear seat nut and shoulder safety belt guides.
- Position the B-pillar trim panels aside.
All vehicles
- Remove the two headliner rear pin-type retainers.
- Remove the LH and RH shoulder safety belt guides.
- Position the shoulder safety belt guide cover up.
- Remove the shoulder safety belt guide nut.
- Remove the shoulder safety belt guide.
- Position the LH and RH rear corner trim panels aside.
- If equipped, remove the assist handle(s).
- Remove the covers and bolts.
- Remove the assist handle.
- Remove the two coat hooks.
- Remove the two headliner front pin-type retainers and position the headliner aside.
- Remove the overhead console bracket.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
NOTE:
SuperCab shown, Regular Cab and Crew Cabs are similar.

Crew Cab vehicles are equipped with two courtesy lamps.

CAUTION:
If the safety belt retractor is to be reused, do not allow the safety belt to be retracted all the way into the retractor. Doing so may cause the retractor to lock and not release the safety belt.
NOTE:
Inspect the shoulder safety belt guide and cover for damage. If the shoulder safety belt guide or cover is damaged or cover does not remain closed, install a new shoulder safety belt guide.
