Removal and Installation

- Fully open the rear quarter window glass.
- Remove the third row seat. Refer to SEATING .
- Remove the spare tire and the spare tire support pad.
- Remove the C-pillar and D-pillar trim panels.
- Position the quarter trim panel aside.
- Disconnect the vent window actuating arm from the motor shaft.
- Remove the fastener and the A/C duct.
- Remove the 14 fasteners at the top, bottom and rear.
- Remove the rear quarter window vent glass.
- Remove the five fasteners.
- Using care not to damage the seal, gently push the vent glass outward.
NOTE: The rubber seal will be removed with the vent glass. - Remove excess butyl sealant from the pinch weld.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Apply an 8 mm (5/16-in) bead of butyl meeting Ford specification WSB-M2G234-C to the pinchweld area.
- Loosely install all the fasteners before tightening to final torque.
CAUTION:
Use care not to damage the headliner when accessing the upper fasteners.

Have an assistant hold the vent glass as it is removed.
