Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the seat backrest. Refer to REAR SEAT BACKREST - EXCURSION, SECOND ROW .
  2. Remove the seat handle clip and handle.

  3. Unclip the J-clips and position upholstery to gain access to the seat backrest linkage rod.

  4. Remove the spring pin and screw.

  5. Slide the linkage toward the inboard side of the seat.

  6. Slide the linkage toward the outboard side of the seat and remove.

  7. Unclip the seat backrest latch cable.

  8. Remove the bolts.

  9. If removing the seat backrest latch cable, remove the seat backrest cable tensioner clip.

  10. Remove the cable tensioner.
    1. Unclip the locking tabs.
    2. Remove the spring tensioner.

  11. Remove the cable from four clips (two shown).

  12. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
