Front Seat - With Seat Integrated Restraints (SIR): Installation

    WARNING: The seat anchor bolts must be tightened in the specified order.
  1. Position the seat in the vehicle. Install the four bolts and the fifth foot bolt. Do not tighten at this time.
  2. NOTE: Make sure the bushing is press fit onto the fifth foot mounting hole.
  3. Tighten the four bolts and fifth foot bolt in the following sequence:
    1. Tighten the two front bolts to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
    2. Tighten the two rear bolts to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
    3. Tighten the fifth foot bolt to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
  4. Install the fifth foot trim cover.
  5. Connect the safety belt buckle pretensioner.

  6. Connect the usage detection switch and power seat electrical connectors located under the seat.
  7. Repower the SRS. Refer to AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS .
  8. Check the active restraints for correct operation. Refer to SAFETY BELT SYSTEM .
