Removal and Installation

NOTE: The power seat without heat control is shown, the power seat with heat control and the manual seat are similar.
  1. Move the seat to its forward most position.
  2. Remove the seat mounting stud beauty cap.

  3. Remove the front seat.
    1. Remove the three front seat riser support-to-floor bolts.
    2. Disconnect the safety belt warning indicator electrical connector.
    3. If equipped, disconnect the seat switch electrical connector.
    4. Remove the front seat riser support-to-floorpan nut.
    5. Remove the front seat.

  4. CAUTION: When installing the seat, tighten the front mounting bolts, then the rear mounting bolt and nut.
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Make sure the safety belt webbing is not twisted prior to installation.
    • Adjust the seat to the full forward and rearward positions a few times to assure safety belt and buckle accessibility.
  6. Check the active restraint system for correct operation. Refer to SAFETY BELT SYSTEM .
