Removal and Installation

NOTE:
The power seat without heat control is shown, the power seat with heat control and the manual seat are similar.
- Move the seat to its forward most position.
- Remove the seat mounting stud beauty cap.
- Remove the front seat.
- Remove the three front seat riser support-to-floor bolts.
- Disconnect the safety belt warning indicator electrical connector.
- If equipped, disconnect the seat switch electrical connector.
- Remove the front seat riser support-to-floorpan nut.
- Remove the front seat.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Make sure the safety belt webbing is not twisted prior to installation.
- Adjust the seat to the full forward and rearward positions a few times to assure safety belt and buckle accessibility.
- Check the active restraint system for correct operation. Refer to SAFETY BELT SYSTEM .
CAUTION:
When installing the seat, tighten the front mounting bolts, then the rear mounting bolt and nut.
