Disassembly and Assembly

  1. Remove the rear seat quad bucket backrest. Refer to REAR SEAT BACKREST - CREW CAB, QUAD BUCKET .
  2. Release the J-clip.

  3. Using a suitable tool, release the handle clip and pull to remove the handle.

  4. NOTE: Use care when separating the backrest trim cover from the hook-and-loop strip, or the hook-and-loop strip can be torn from the seat backrest foam.

  5. Invert the backrest material and release the hook-and-loop strip.
  6. Remove the hog rings and remove the backrest trim cover.

  7. Remove the backrest foam pad from the backrest frame.

  8. Remove the two bolts and the recliner assembly.

  9. Compress the lumbar assembly and remove the lumbar cable anchor.

  10. Slide the lumbar cable end and remove the cable from the lumbar assembly.

  11. Release the four lumbar retainer clips (two shown) and remove the lumbar assembly.

  12. To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure.
