Removal and Installation

- Disconnect the passive anti-theft system (PATS) module electrical connector.
- Remove the PATS module by pulling it up off the two locator tabs on the bracket.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
CAUTION:
Once the new PATS module is installed, it is necessary to configure the module. Refer to
MODULE CONFIGURATION
.
NOTE:
Prior to starting the vehicle, check for PATS DTCs. If DTCs are retrieved, carry out the appropriate pinpoint test.
NOTE:
When the PATS module is replaced, both ignition keys must be relearned and stored in memory. Insert each key in the ignition and turn to RUN for automatic programming.
