Turbocharger Inlet Y-Pipe: Removal

- Remove the turbocharger assembly. Refer to TURBOCHARGER .
- Remove the fuel injector control module bracket from the LH valve cover.
- Remove the exhaust inlet pipe-to-EGR cooler clamp.
- Remove the nuts and the bolts connecting the LH exhaust inlet pipe-to-RH exhaust inlet pipe.
- Remove the LH exhaust inlet pipe-to-exhaust manifold nuts.
- Carefully remove the LH exhaust inlet pipe from the vehicle.
- Remove the RH exhaust inlet pipe-to exhaust manifold nuts.
- Rotate the pipe 90° counterclockwise, then remove the RH exhaust inlet pipe from the vehicle.
NOTE:
There is a metal gasket between the exhaust inlet pipe and the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler.
