Turbocharger Inlet Y-Pipe: Removal

Remove the turbocharger assembly. Refer to TURBOCHARGER .
Remove the fuel injector control module bracket from the LH valve cover.

NOTE: There is a metal gasket between the exhaust inlet pipe and the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler.

Remove the exhaust inlet pipe-to-EGR cooler clamp.

NOTE: There is a metal gasket between the exhaust inlet pipes.

Remove the nuts and the bolts connecting the LH exhaust inlet pipe-to-RH exhaust inlet pipe.
Remove the LH exhaust inlet pipe-to-exhaust manifold nuts.

Carefully remove the LH exhaust inlet pipe from the vehicle.
Remove the RH exhaust inlet pipe-to exhaust manifold nuts.

Rotate the pipe 90° counterclockwise, then remove the RH exhaust inlet pipe from the vehicle.
