Transmission Fluid Cooler Tubes - 4R100 Transmission: Installation

    NOTE: If the CBV assembly was removed, refer to COOLER BYPASS VALVE  for the installation procedure.

  1. Install and connect the fluid cooler tube(s).
  2. Install the fluid cooler tubes in the front and rear cooler line case fittings.

  3. Position the air deflector and install the bolts.

  4. Position the skid plate and install the bolts (4x4 only).

  5. CAUTION: Do not use any fluid approved for MERCON® V application. Using a fluid rated for MERCON® V can cause internal damage in "MERCON® only" applications.
  6. Fill the transmission with the specified type and quantity of transmission fluid. Refer to AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION - 4R100 .
  7. Check for leaks.
