Auxiliary Transmission Fluid Cooler - Oil-to-Air Fluid Cooler, 4R100: Installation

- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Fill the transmission with the specified type and quantity of transmission fluid. Refer to
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION - 4R100
(4R100).
- Check for leaks.
CAUTION:
Do not attempt to backflush and clean the OTA transmission fluid cooler. Install a new OTA transmission fluid cooler as part of a transmission overhaul or exchange. Failure to follow these directions can result in transmission damage.
CAUTION:
Do not use any fluid approved for MERCON® V application. Using a fluid rated for MERCON® V can cause internal damage in MERCON® only applications.
