Removal and Installation

  1. Disconnect the LH and RH negative battery cables. Refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  2. NOTE: The crankshaft position (CKP) sensor is located underneath the air conditioning compressor.

  3. Remove the nut and position the positive battery cable and bracket aside.
  4. Remove the bolt and position the battery negative cable aside.

  5. Disconnect the CKP sensor electrical connector.

  6. Remove the bolt and the CKP sensor.

  7. NOTE: Apply clean engine oil to the O-ring before installation.
  8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
