Engine Mounts: Installation

- Position the engine mounts and install the bolts.
- Install the starter motor if the RH engine mount was repaired. Refer to STARTERS .
- Using a floor crane, remove the special tool.
- Lower the engine and align the engine mount studs.
- Remove the floor crane.
- Install the nuts.
- Remove the special tool from the engine.
- Install the generator. Refer to GENERATORS & REGULATORS .
- Install the fan shroud.
- Install the throttle body adapter.
- Position a new throttle body adapter gasket.
- Position the throttle body adapter.
- Install the four bolts and tighten in two stages:
- Stage 1: Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
- Stage 2: Tighten an additional 90 degrees.
- Connect the heater hose.
- Connect the idle air control motor electrical connector and the bypass hose.
- Connect the vacuum hose.
- Connect the PCV tube and the vacuum lines.
- Connect the heated PCV coolant hoses.
- Install the accelerator cable bracket and the bolts.
- Connect the accelerator and speed control cables and return spring.
- Install the accelerator cable splash shield.
- Install the air cleaner outlet tube. Refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION & FILTERING .
- Connect the battery ground cable. Refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
- Connect the upper radiator hose to the radiator. Refer to ENGINE COOLING .
- Fill the engine with clean engine oil.
- Fill and bleed the cooling system. Refer to ENGINE COOLING .
