Crankshaft Rear Seal with Retainer Plate: Removal

  1. Remove the flexplate. Refer to FLEXPLATE .
  2. Using the special tools, remove the crankshaft rear oil slinger.

  3. Using the special tools, remove the crankshaft rear seal.

  4. Remove the oil pan. Refer to OIL PAN - AUTOMATED EQUIPMENT  or OIL PAN - MANUAL TRANSMISSION .
  5. Remove the bolts and the crankshaft rear seal retainer plate.
