Crankshaft Rear Seal: Removal

Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .

NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the transmission from the jack.

Remove the flexplate. Refer to FLEXPLATE - AUTOMATED EQUIPMENT or FLYWHEEL - MANUAL TRANSMISSION .
Use the special tools to remove the crankshaft rear oil slinger.
