Brake Warning Indicator
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Ford RV Cutaway, 2004 Ford Econoline, 2004 Ford E450 Super Duty, and 2004 Ford Cutaway. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The brake warning indicator receives its ground signals from the following sources:
- The parking brake switch provides a ground when the parking brake is engaged.
- The brake fluid level switch provides a ground when the brake fluid level is low.
NOTE:
The brake fluid level switch is part of the master cylinder and is not serviced separately.
The ignition switch provides the brake warning indicator prove-out by supplying a ground when it is in the START position.
