Removal and Installation

WARNING: The fuel system will remain pressurized after engine shutdown. This pressure must be relieved before servicing any part of the fuel system. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury or property damage.
WARNING: Eye protection is required when removing or installing fuel system components. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.
  1. Drain the engine cooling system. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING .
  2. NOTE: Fuel outlet hose removed for clarity.

  3. Disconnect the coolant hoses.
  4. Disconnect the brake tube from the retainer and remove the retainer.

  5. Remove the bolt and the coolant bowl.

  6. Discard the coolant bowl O-ring seal.
    • Lubricate the new O-ring seal with clean engine coolant prior to installation.

  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
