Transmission Insulator and Retainer: Installation

  1. Install the retainer and the one bolt hand-tight.

  2. Lower the transmission while aligning the retainer studs with the holes in the crossmember. Allow the full weight of the transmission to rest on the crossmember.

  3. Remove the high lift transmission jack.
  4. Install the hanger and install the bolt. Tighten the retainer-to-extension housing bolts.

  5. Install the nuts.

  6. Remove the supports and lower the vehicle.
