Test E: Warning Indicator Is Off With Ignition On

Turn ignition off. Disconnect generator 3-pin harness connector. Connect a fused (15-amp) jumper wire between ground and generator harness connector terminal "I" (Light Green/Red wire). See Figure. Turn ignition on. If warning indicator is on, replace voltage regulator. If warning indicator is not on, repair warning indicator problem as necessary.
