Removal (1999 - Right Side)

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Hold strut shaft with 8-mm Allen wrench, and loosen top retaining nut 5 turns. Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel assembly. Remove splash shield. Remove pinch bolt attaching ball joint to steering knuckle. Separate ball joint from steering knuckle. DO NOT damage ball joint seal.
  2. Remove pinch bolt attaching steering knuckle to strut. Slide steering knuckle up on strut. Remove 2 nuts and bolts attaching control arm to subframe. Lifting up on control am, remove control arm.
