Park System: Removal

NOTE: For internal park mechanism service, refer to MANUAL CONTROL LEVER SHAFT AND SEAL .

Remove the extension housing and the extension housing gasket. For additional information, refer to EXTENSION HOUSING SEAL AND BUSHING .
Remove the parking rod guide plate.
1. Remove the bolts.
2. Remove the parking rod guide plate.

NOTE: If installing a new park gear, refer to OUTPUT SHAFT .

Remove the park pawl shaft.
1. Remove the park pawl return spring.
2. Remove the park pawl.
3. Remove the park pawl shaft.
