Switch Removal and Installation

    CAUTION: Make sure the ignition switch is in the OFF position prior to working on the electronic engine controls.
  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Remove the turbocharger inlet tube. For additional information, refer to FUEL CHARGING & CONTROLS-TURBOCHARGER .
  3. NOTE: If there is any oil residue, clean both connecting ports and the inside surface of the charge air cooler duct to prevent the duct from blowing off.

  4. Loosen the clamps and remove the charge air cooler duct.
  5. Remove the bolts and position the turbocharger oil tube aside.
    • Remove and discard the gasket.

  6. NOTE: It may be necessary to position the engine wire harness aside.

  7. Disconnect the engine oil pressure (EOP) switch electrical connector.
  8. Remove the EOP switch.

  9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Install a new turbocharger oil tube gasket.
