Switch Removal and Installation

- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
- Remove the turbocharger inlet tube. For additional information, refer to FUEL CHARGING & CONTROLS-TURBOCHARGER .
- Loosen the clamps and remove the charge air cooler duct.
- Remove the bolts and position the turbocharger oil tube aside.
- Remove and discard the gasket.
- Disconnect the engine oil pressure (EOP) switch electrical connector.
- Remove the EOP switch.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Install a new turbocharger oil tube gasket.
CAUTION:
Make sure the ignition switch is in the OFF position prior to working on the electronic engine controls.
NOTE:
If there is any oil residue, clean both connecting ports and the inside surface of the charge air cooler duct to prevent the duct from blowing off.
NOTE:
It may be necessary to position the engine wire harness aside.
