Removal and Installation

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
- Disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector.
- Remove the bolt and the CMP sensor.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
CAUTION:
Make sure the ignition switch is in the OFF position prior to working on the electronic engine controls.
NOTE:
The CMP sensor is located behind the power steering pump.
NOTE:
Apply clean engine oil to the O-ring seal before installation.
