Fuel Rail Pressure (FRP) Sensor

MATERIAL

Item Specification
SAE 5W-20 Motor Oil XO-5W20-QSP WSS-M2C153-H

    ALL ENGINES 

  1. Release the fuel system pressure. For additional information, refer to FUEL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION-GASOLINE & DIESEL .
  2. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  3. 4.6L AND 5.4L ENGINES 

  4. Disconnect the fuel rail pressure (FRP) sensor electrical connector and the vacuum hose.

  5. Remove the bolts and the FRP sensor.

  6. 6.8L ENGINES 

  7. Disconnect the FRP sensor electrical connector and the vacuum hose.

  8. Remove the bolts and the FRP sensor.

  9. ALL ENGINES 

    NOTE: Before installing the FRP sensor, inspect and lubricate the O-ring seal with clean engine oil.
    NOTE: Hand-tighten both bolts before tightening to specification.
  10. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
