Power Locks

The power lock/unlock feature requests all of the vehicle doors, including the liftgate, to locked or unlock upon a request from the door lock control switch, the keyless entry keypad or remote transmitter. Power locking and unlocking of the doors functions independently of the key position, vehicle speed or transmission position. The vehicle security module activates internal relays to supply the correct power and grounds for the door lock actuators.

The liftgate window glass is released, using the keypad or the remote transmitter, and will not operate if the vehicle speed is greater than 7 km/h (5 mph), the doors are locked, the battery has been disconnected and then reconnected, or if the module has been disconnected and then reconnected causing the liftgate glass release switch to enter the disable mode. The liftgate release switch is reset by unlocking all the doors.
