Pinpoint Test O: One Turn Signal/Hazard Lamp Is Inoperative

- O1 CHECK THE STOPLAMPS
- Key in OFF position.
- Apply the brake pedal.
- Do the stoplamps operate correctly?
Yes
GO to O2.
No
REFER to STOPLAMPS .
- O2 CHECK CIRCUIT 1205 (BK) FOR AN OPEN
- Disconnect: Inoperative Turn Signal/Hazard Lamp.
- Measure the resistance between the inoperative indicator lamp, harness side and ground as follows:EXPLORER AND MOUNTAINEER CONNECTOR-PIN CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
Explorer Connector-Pin Mountaineer Connector-Pin Circuit LH front C1023-1 LH front C1115-1 1205 (BK) Not used LH side repeater C1108-2 1205 (BK) RH front C1043-1 RH front C1116-1 1205 (BK) Not used RH side repeater C1109-2 1205 (BK) - Does the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
REPAIR circuit 2 (WH/LB) (RH) or 3 (LG/WH) (LH) as necessary. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
REPAIR circuit 1205 (BK). TEST the system for normal operation.
