Normal Operation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Mercury Mountaineer and 2004 Ford Explorer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Battery voltage is supplied to the daytime running lamp (DRL) module through circuit 434 (LB/BK). Switched power from central junction box (CJB) fuse 30 (5A) supplies power to the DRL module through circuit 932 (GY/WH). Input from the parking brake switch is sent through circuit 162 (LG/RD). Input from the high beam headlamps is received from circuit 12 (LG/BK). The reduced voltage that the DRL module sends out, flows through circuit 13 (RD/BK) to the low beam headlamps. Ground to the DRL module is provided through circuit 1203 (BK/LB).
