Items 9-7: RH Valve Cover, Bolts and Studs Installation Note

    NOTE: If the valve cover is not secured within four minutes, the sealant must be removed and the sealing area cleaned with metal surface cleaner. Failure to follow this procedure can cause future oil leakage.

  1. Apply the silicone gasket and sealant in two places where the engine front cover meets the cylinder head.
  2. Tighten the valve cover bolts in the sequence shown.

  3. Connect the RH engine wiring harness retainers to the valve cover studs.
