Item 15: Lower Block Cradle (4x2 vehicles) Removal Note

- Remove the upper air deflector.
- Remove the weatherstrip.
- Remove and discard the screws. Remove the bolts and the fan shroud.
- Remove the bolt.
- Install the RH lifting eye using the previously removed bolt.
- Install the special tools.
- Remove the motor mount nuts.
- Raise the engine.
- Back the set screws off until they are below the lower block cradle boss.
- Remove the lower block cradle.
NOTE:
Not all vehicles will have screws installed in the radiator fan shroud.
NOTE:
This is not a typical setup. Only the right side of the motor will be raised.
NOTE:
RH side shown, LH side similar.
CAUTION:
Failure to back off the set screws can result in damage to the lower block cradle.
