Power Steering Pump - 4.6L (2V): Notes

CAUTION:
While repairing the power steering system, care should be taken to prevent the entry of contaminants or premature failure of the power steering components can result.
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position the vehicle on a hoist. For additional information, REFER to JACKING & LIFTING .
- If removing the power steering pump, remove the LH front wheel.
- If removing the power steering pump or pulley, remove the air cleaner. For additional information, REFER to INTAKE AIR, FUEL CHARGING & ENGINE ELECTRONICS-4.6l (2V) .
- Remove the parts in the order indicated in the following illustration and table.
To remove individual parts, only carry out the listed steps:
PARTS SPECIFICATIONPart Steps Power steering pump 10, 16-22 Power steering pump pulley 16-17 Power steering fluid reservoir 1-6 Power steering fluid cooler 7-9 Power steering hoses 1-7, 10-15 - To install, reverse the removal procedure.
