Ambient Temperature Change and Tire Pressure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Mercury Mountaineer and 2004 Ford Explorer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION:
Do not inflate tire higher than maximum pressure stamped on the tire sidewall.
As the ambient temperature decreases 12°C (10°F), tire pressure decreases 7 kPa (1 psi). Adjust the tire pressure by 7 kPa (1 psi) for each 12°C (10°F) ambient temperature drop as necessary to keep the tire at the specified vehicle placard pressure.
