Principles Of Operation: Autolock
If the vehicle is equipped with the autolock feature, there are 4 methods to enable/disable the feature using the keyless entry keypad (if equipped), using the driver door lock control switch, using the message center (if equipped) or the dealer may enable/disable the feature using a diagnostic tool.
The autolock feature automatically and conditionally locks all doors as a convenience to the customer. This feature operates only when the key is in the ON position.
Autolock occurs when all doors are closed (including the liftgate), the feature has seen a brake pedal application while speed is less than 5 km/h (3 mph), and then the speed increases to 5 km/h (3 mph) or greater.
Relock is dependent on an autolock event happening first.
Relock occurs after a door has been opened, the feature has seen a brake pedal application while speed is less than 5 km/h (3 mph), all doors become closed again, and then the speed increases to 5 km/h (3 mph) or greater.
